DIN Contents
Many first aid kits / bags and the content are being standardized by the German industrial norm institute DIN.
The adherence to DIN specifications is a sound basis for a technically acceptable product and gives a higher reputation between industrial partners. By the DIN sign on medical products the consumer has the surety that he has a proven product which is the actual state of art, with a repetitive product quality, produced in accordance with standard parameters.
The specification of products is being done in DIN working groups which guarantee a high degree of product related know how. The existing specifications are being checked in regular intervals by the DIN Institute and might be adapted if needed. The DIN 13 164 B has been revised in the year 1998/1999 and the DIN 13 157 C/13 169 E is at present under review.
