Since 2014, all cars, lorries and buses registered in Germany have been required to carry high-visibility warning vests.
Note: In some European countries, e.g. Austria, Italy, Portugal and Spain, it is not only compulsory to carry the car warning vests, but also to wear it when leaving the vehicle in the event of a breakdown.
